COME Cams

COME Cams manufacturing.

Beginning in 1987 COME Racing established its own line of camshafts to service its fast growing engine building and development business. We were fixated on doing as much as possible in-house to be able to maintain quality control, instant product availability and most importantly the development of our own cam profiles tested in house to achieve maximum engine performance, reliability and optimum valve train stability over the long term. Initially we did what everyone does and copied known grinds from other manufacturers that were effective in our engine combinations. However within two years we were using state of the art cam design software to develop shapes that no one else had or had even dreamed of. With our in house engine machining abilities and Superflow engine Dyno it was constant research and development to ensure our hair-brain ideas with cam design actually worked in the real world.

Our own Drag Race program was critical in this R&D phase. Our engines fitted with our own camshafts installed in our cars were reliable and powerful resulting in very effective Drag Race results. This is where theory meets the real world to confirm success. Our customers became the beneficiaries of our insistence on providing a 100% in-house product.
