You will not find a stronger crankshaft for your Holden V8 engine anywhere and at any price.
Our COME Racing billet cranks begin life as a round bar of the finest billet 4340 grade steel.
They are CNC rough machined with our 8 counterweight design and large flywheel flange.
This all adds up to very easy balancing and incredible strength and rigidity.
All cranks are finish blueprint ground and rod journals perfectly indexed 90 degrees
apart.
Final nitride heat treatment provides very hard high wearing bearing journals for long
life in extreme or endurance applications.
Our billet cranks have a straight uninterrupted material grain flow for significantly stronger
parts than a forged steel crank which has angular grain flow following its final shape.
Because we manufacture our cranks in large volume the unit price is significantly lower
than any other steel cranks on the market, both forgings or billets.
The relatively low price should in no way indicate the quality. This is one of those
products which are the best in quality and strength without the high price.
Our 396ci billet steel crank has 3.8750" stroke length, Chev Big Journal rod journal diameter and width...2.1"diameter and 1.9" width and will therefore accept any aftermarket big journal Chev Small Block connecting rods. With a 5.850" length rod (recommended) you will need 1.062" compression height pistons to suit the Holden V8 deck heights.
COME Racing Billet steel cranks like all our nodular cast iron cranks are an easy to balance part with no Mallory (heavy metal) metal required with virtually any possible rod/piston configuration.
Our 396ci crank in our alloy or custom cast iron cylinder blocks with 4.125" bore sizes will produce an engine capacity of 414ci. Fitted to a factory GMH block with 4.030" bore size you will have 396ci capacity.
